Job Description
Essential Functions:
Ensures implementation of IE guidelines, and manages process improvements and technical investment project, for plant(s) or site assigned. Plans the overall technical development of the plant assigned, both short-term and mid-term, as part of the local plant management team. Assures synchronization of Continuous Improvement efforts throughout the organization by coordinating Planning and facilitating Knowledge Sharing. Assures coordination of the Improvement Plans with Cost Deployment priorities. Collaborates with KPS Manager, Operations Managers, and KPS Pillar Owners to define/implement Continuous Improvement strategies. Assesses the effectiveness of the Continuous Improvement processes, determines systemic improvement needs, and assures execution of the corresponding action plans. Assesses and assures the presence of Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement capabilities throughout the organization. Proposes local budgets for necessary investments. Ensures measures to constantly monitor the effectiveness of production. Develops and Implements performance measurement and improvement initiatives. Cooperates with Corporate Q IE departments, to increase OpEx in own plant. Plans the technical development projects, determines budgets and external service provider needed for project completion. Sets project targets and milestones for completion of technical investment. Checks qualitative completion of the projects. Manages local team local of industrial engineers, facilities and/or maintenance. Manages facilities are kept up to insurance standards, NEC, NFPA & safe from accidents:
electrical shock, water leaks, dangerous spills, any and all dangerous situations. Communicate and Support PSA activities and procedures with team members Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required. Knowledge:
Familiar with New product introduction and project management Extensive knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement leadership, KPS, DMAIC and PDCA Financial budgeting and expenditure controls Technical knowledge of facility and work cell design, systematic layout planning Possesses extensive knowledge of how to facilitate/lead change.
Experience:
5-7 years relevant experience in a high-volume production plant. Five years of project management or project coordination. Supervision experience and hands-on problem solving. Skills:
Capable of managing multiple projects, construction, equipment moves, assembly line moves, equipment installation A result driven individual who has demonstrated the ability to work in a high performance-manufacturing environment. Must have good attention to details, while managing strategic vision and direction. Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and comfortably handle pressure on a daily basis. Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement. Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities. Good written and oral communication skills. Solid Project Management, leadership, and coordination skills. Strong Bias for Action with high energy demonstrates urgency and fast pace. Good understanding of business principles and practices to effectively manage manufacturing demonstrating bottom line result. Focused on internal and external Customers. Bilingual Spanish/English Education/Certifications:
B.S. in an Engineering field such as Industrial Engineering, Construction, Mechanical, or similar, master's degree preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish Six Sigma certification as a Black Belt or a Lean Expert preferred, with a minimum Green Belt Required Skills Skills:

$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
