Job Description : HSE Specialist
Location: Texas City, TX
Company: Chemical Blending Facility
Reports To: VP of HSE
Responsibilities:
Review Safety and emergency response procedures and policies for comformance with site practices.
Develop, train and record all safety related training including hazard communication and required DOT,OSHA, and EPA training.
Audit all health and safety functions and forward results and recommendations to management.
Provide tools and topics for safety meetings and organize job safety analyses (JSAs) with facility staff.
Other duties as required and assigned by the VP of HSE
Qualification Requirements:
2 years of experience as an Operator in a chemical manufacturing environment
2 years of experience as a Safety professional within a chemical plant environment
Preference will be given to those with advanced degrees such as an MS in Occupational safety & health from an accredited University or College as well as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) designation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
