years recent strong Med/Surg experience required . . . facility will consider LVN candidates
Primarily non-acute patients for ED overflow & transfer from Freestanding EDs; no behavioral health, pediatrics, confusion without a sitter, or patients that require one-on-one care. The RNs are responsible for completing the quick start, admission assessments, calling consults, completing Stat ED orders and initiating floor orders if the pt remains > 2 hours. Due to increase holding, the patients often remain in this unit for an extended period of time, so strong M/S RNs needed.
Meditech/HCA experience strongly preferred.
